Learning Support Assistants needed in the Fareham area!

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a number of schools in the Fareham area that are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to join their teams. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

If you are passionate about providing tailored support to pupils with additional needs, this is an excellent opportunity.

The desired candidate will have experience working with pupils who require specialist support, ensuring that they receive the appropriate guidance and care to achieve their potential in the classroom.

 

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and provide targeted support to pupils with SEN, SEND, and SEMH needs.
  • Work closely with pupils requiring additional assistance, adapting your approach to support their individual learning styles and needs.
  • Provide one-to-one support and work with small groups both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to the teacher and SENCo.
