Learning Support Assistants needed in the Portsmouth and Surrounding Areas!

 

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a number of schools in the Portsmouth and surrounding areas that are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants. This role is ideal for candidates with experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

If you are passionate about providing dedicated support to pupils with additional needs, this opportunity is perfect for you.

The successful candidate will have experience working with pupils who require specialist attention, ensuring they receive the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.

 

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, offering targeted support to pupils with SEN, SEND, and SEMH.
  • Work closely with individual pupils or small groups, adapting your approach to suit their learning needs.
  • Provide both one-to-one and group support, ensuring inclusive participation in the classroom.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to assist pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Support the development of pupils' social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCo.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
