- Classroom Support: Assist students with additional needs during lessons, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Interventions: Deliver targeted 1:1 or small group interventions to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff to develop and implement strategies that support individual students.
- Monitoring Progress: Track and report on the progress of students receiving additional support, providing feedback to teachers and the SENDCo.
- Encouragement and Motivation: Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to engage fully in their education and build confidence in their abilities.
- Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing materials and resources for lessons and interventions.
- Educational Background: A good standard of education, including strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- IT Skills: Competent in using IT to support learning and manage records.
- Organisation: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Primary setting is desirable but not essential. Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is advantageous.
