Student Support Specialist with Teaching Personnel

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with additional educational needs, ensuring continuity and progress in their learning journey.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and support staff, to address individual student requirements.
• Support students within lessons and the Student Support Room, offering both academic assistance and a listening ear as an Emotionally Available Adult.
• Act as a role model for positive behavior, resilience, and control, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Experience & Skills Required:

• A passion for working with children with special educational needs in secondary schools.
• A genuine interest in understanding and positively influencing how children learn and behave.
• Commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality while adhering to safeguarding protocols.
• Dedication to attending training and meetings to stay current on best practices in special education support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
