Position Overview:
As Learning Support Staff, you will provide essential assistance to students who require additional support in their learning. Working closely with teachers and other educational professionals, you will help to create an inclusive and supportive environment, enabling students to overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on their individual learning needs.
  • Assist in implementing personalized learning plans and strategies to support students’ academic progress.
  • Work alongside teachers to adapt lessons and classroom activities to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, ensuring all students feel included and supported.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), learning difficulties, or other barriers to learning.
  • Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and helping to adjust support strategies as needed.
  • Assist with classroom management, resource preparation, and other tasks as directed by the teacher.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Learning Support role or similar educational setting is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or support work (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to helping students succeed academically and personally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
