Job Description:
As a Lesson Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Your role will involve ensuring students remain on task, managing classroom behavior, and assisting with any queries students may have while completing pre-set work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during lessons, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and oversee classroom activities in the absence of the teacher
  • Provide assistance and support to students during the lesson
  • Manage behavior in accordance with school policies
  • Report back to teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes and any issues
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students in your care

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people or in a school environment is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure
  • A positive, proactive approach and genuine interest in supporting student development
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (or hold a current, valid one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
