An Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school in Winchester is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join its permanent staff list starting in January 2025. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting both students and teachers, contributing to the continued success and high standards of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, aiding in lesson delivery and pupil engagement.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in the development of educational materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs, adapting activities to meet individual requirements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and helping young people succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
