A well-regarded secondary school in Reading, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their permanent staff from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across various subjects.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  •  

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students’ learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  •  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not mandatory).
