Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm

Pay Rates: £83.85 - £90

Teaching personnel are working with a Secondary school to find the right candidate for a teaching assistant role. The school is based in Caldicot with good transport links from the M4. The ages of the children are between 8-18 and the role will involve working with a pupil on a 1:1 basis. There is a range of needs that the pupils may present including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, SLD and BESD.

The successful Teaching assistant needs to be a minimum of level 2 trained.

Roles

-          Prepare learning materials and support the teacher.

-          Create a friendly welcoming environment where the pupils can thrive.

-          You should be reliable.

-          Able to build relationships with pupils and make them feel comfortable.

-          Take part in training and other activities offered by the school.

-          Help children understand daily activities and develop understanding.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service. (Or willing to apply)
• Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)
• Team Teach Qualification (Will be provided to the successful TA)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
