Position: Year 3 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Start Date: Autumn Term 2 (November 2024)
Contract: Full-time, ongoing

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children in their learning journey? We are seeking a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Burnley. This full-time position starts in Autumn Term 2 and will continue indefinitely for the right candidate.

As a Teaching Assistant in Year 3, you will:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to support daily lessons and activities.
  • Assist in planning and delivering small group interventions to support literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with varying learning needs.
  • Help create a positive, stimulating, and safe classroom environment.
  • Support students’ emotional and social development through encouragement and guidance.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of materials, and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with Key Stage 2 pupils.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • A strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and the ability to support children’s learning effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for nurturing children's development.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
