Level 2 Trainee Teaching Assistant

Our client school is a vibrant and inclusive educational institution located in the heart of Manchester City Centre. Teaching Personnel are looking to secure a passionate and motivated Teaching Assistant who is willing to take part in 1 week of Level 2 Teaching Assistant training during September, before starting in October.

As a Level 2 Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the school’s teaching staff and enhancing the learning experiences of all students.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to develop their skills in a supportive setting. You will work closely with teachers to assist in delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and providing one-on-one support to students as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Support students with their learning activities, both individually and in small groups.
  • Help maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing resources and maintaining records.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A willingness to work towards Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A patient, caring demeanour with a genuine interest in helping children succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
