£12.90 p/h | Full-Time | Temp to Perm
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEMH school in Blackburn, supporting pupils aged 8-16.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support and general classroom assistance to pupils with complex SEMH needs.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to support student progress and well-being.

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children with SEMH or additional needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with challenging behaviors.
