The Headteacher of a reputable Primary School located in Preston (South Ribble) is keen to secure a committed and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 This role will begin from 4th November. This is a full time role starting at 8:45-15:25 Monday Friday term time only providing general class support in Year 1. Knowledge of Phonics is essential for this role. 

The Headteacher and SENCO recognise that support staff are vital to ensuring that pupils in school achieve their full potential and become confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals who can make a positive contribution to the local community.

The successful candidate will be working alongside excellent teachers and support staff in this exciting and challenging post. You need to have high expectations of children in KS2 to ensure they have the best start to their experience within the Junior department. An interest in working alongside young children and a good understanding of English and Maths is essential for this role. The successful applicant will also be working alongside children with educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners. A caring, flexible and common-sense approach is important. To be considered, you must hold a Level 3 childcare related qualification or equivalent.

** Rates of pay are competitive for work of this nature, starting at £13.50 per hour.
