This school caters for children and young people  with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs. A high number of students are also on the Autistic Spectrum (ASC). They are a supportive and nurturing community for students between the ages of 4 -19. Rated Good by Ofsted (Jun 23).

Working hours are 11:30 – 13:35, Monday – Friday. Term time only.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Safeguarding students
  • Supervising during meal times
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Support in the delivery of activities to meet the physical, emotional and educational requirements of students

We are in search of a Lunchtime Support Assistant who:

  • Is nurturing and empathetic
  • Has a great sense of humour
  • Is an adaptable, collaborative team player
  • Is patient with a flair for celebrating the smallest of successes

It is also essential you have:

  • Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • ICT skills
  • A positive attitude to training and continuous development
  • The ability to follow instructions
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and other professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
