Location: Blaenau Gwent

Start Date: September 2nd 2024.

Pay: Paid to scale (depending on experience) minimum £157.66 per day)

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maths teacher to join our dedicated team at our secondary school in Blaenau Gwent. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching maths to students from Year 7 to Year 11, planning and delivering engaging lessons, marking and assessing student work, and contributing to the school's maths department.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and assess maths lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 11.
  • Prepare and mark assignments and exams, providing feedback to students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Monitor student progress and set targets for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop maths curriculum plans and resources.
  • Contribute to department meetings and discussions on maths education.
  • Maintain accurate records of student grades and progress.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater for different learning styles.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • EWC Registered.
  • 2 most recent references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
