An Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join their team as a Teaching Assistant. This full-time role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about mathematics and looking to gain valuable experience in the education sector. The position begins in October and will run until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance.

  • Classroom Support: Assist the Maths department in delivering lessons, working closely with teachers to ensure that all students understand the material and can engage with the content.
  • One-to-One and Small Group Tutoring: Provide focused support to students who may need extra help in grasping mathematical concepts, particularly in preparation for exams.
  • Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials and resources, ensuring that lessons are well-organized and that students have access to the necessary tools for learning.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and assess student progress, offering feedback to both students and teaching staff to help tailor instruction to individual needs.
  • Classroom Management: Aid in maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment, supporting the teacher in managing student behavior and keeping the class on track.
  • Promoting a Love for Maths: Encourage students to develop a positive attitude toward mathematics, helping them to see its relevance and application in everyday life.
  • Degree in Mathematics or a Related Field: A strong academic background in Maths or a closely related discipline.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to convey complex mathematical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
