Role Overview:

As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the maths department, working closely with teachers to enhance the learning experience for students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support during maths lessons, working with students of varying abilities

  • Support students in developing their problem-solving skills and confidence in maths

  • Help manage classroom behaviour, contributing to a positive and focused learning environment

  • Play an active role in the school community, supporting students in other areas of school life as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in Maths or a closely related subject is essential
  • Passion for maths and a desire to help young people achieve their full potential in the subject
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and concisely
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach to working with students of different abilities
  • Ability to build rapport with students, encouraging a positive attitude towards learning
  • Experience working with young people, either in a formal or informal capacity, is desirable but not essential
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
