Job Title: Mathematics Lecturer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £27,425 - £40,369
Contract: Full time, Permanent

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team are partnered with a leading FE College located in Cambridge, who we are assisting with the recruitment of a permanent Maths Lecturer to join their growing team in the new academic year. Provide high quality teaching and access to learning. It is expected that the post holder will contribute to course design, development of programmes and the expansion of the area generally. To teach Functional Skills and GCSE Maths to learners on a Construction courses, with varying levels of ability and confidence from Entry Level to Level 2. ECTs are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•              Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes.

•              Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.

•              Prepare and adapt teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists and assessment papers, to enable all learners to progress.

•              Track and review student progress and maintain student records using Markbook and Promonitor.

•              Provide feedback on progress to the student in 1:1 meetings.

•              Respond to curriculum development and new course initiatives originating from within the department/College.

Requirements:

•              A UK degree within the subject is essential for this position (Bachelors minimum).

•              A UK Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent) is required, or a willingness to work towards.

•              Previous experience teaching Functional Skills and GCSE Mathematics within a College setting ideal.

•              Prior experience of preparing students for Functional Skills/GCSE Maths exams.
