Teaching Personnel are looking for Maths teachers who are able to provide classroom cover primarily in a Maths setting, but also from a general cover perspective. If you looking to work across a range of schools to gain experience and insight into what type of school you would like your next permanent role to be, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. With a number of roles regularly becoming available, you can choose between flexible day-to-day ad-hoc cover or longer term subject specific roles lasting anywhere between half a term up to a full academic year.

You will be a confident classroom practitioner and will be able to prepare and teach effective Maths lessons up to KS4 AQA curriculum and also able to provide general cover across other lessons where required (work prepared in advance for you). You will be an enthusiastic and flexible person who prides themselves on their professionalism. Schools are keen to have high calibre teachers who are willing to help out in a number of areas and cover absences such as paternity/maternity leaves. By trying out multiple different schools, not only to you get the opportunity to build professional contacts and establish what it is you are looking for in a school, you also put your self in a strong position when permanent roles become available. Schools will always opt to appoint somebody they have had before and know what they can offer.

-          Day to day general cover pay: £130 - £140 per day (no planning or marking)

-          Longer term Maths specific roles: £162 - £251 per day (depending on pay scale)

You will need to hold UK QTS in Maths, and also have (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS that is registered on the update service. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
