An exciting opportunity to join a secondary school in Bury, tutoring students up to GCSE Level.

  • Full time Maths teacher.
  • Required ASAP on an ongoing basis.
  • Tutoring Maths to both KS3 and KS4 students in groups of 2 or 3.
  • Average-sized, Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Bury.
  • Paid in line with scale point (£25,714 - £41,604).

Our partner secondary school is in Bury, ideally situated close to the town centre making it easily accessible via public transport and the M66 motorway. The current Headteacher has been involved in strong improvements across the school in recent years, shown by their most recent Ofsted inspection where they received a ‘Good’ rating.

The incoming Maths teacher will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and will be expected to take on a full timetable. The successful candidate will also be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside delivering lessons to meet the needs of learners at varying levels of learning ability. It will also be important to monitor and assess pupils’ progress and be able to report this back to the Maths department should it require further discussion.

To be considered for this position, the incoming teacher must have QTS and experience teaching Maths to GCSE level. Both experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers are urged to apply for this position as all relevant induction and support will be provided.
