A reputable Ofsted rated GOOD secondary school in Bristol is seeking a passionate and fully qualified Maths Teacher to join their permanent staff list from September 2024.

Role Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A recognized teaching qualification (QTS) with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
  • Skills: Excellent classroom management skills, the ability to inspire and motivate students, and a commitment to delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the Maths National Curriculum and current educational trends. Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment: A dedicated approach to supporting the academic and personal development of students, contributing to a positive school environment.
  • Professional Development: Willingness to participate in and contribute to the school's professional development programs and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum.
  • Engage with parents to support student progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.
