Role Overview:

The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated maths lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies to inspire students and foster a deep understanding of mathematics.
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individual support where necessary.
  • Participate in department planning meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Liaise with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and strategies to support learning.
  • Engage in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with educational advancements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching maths in a secondary school setting (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
