Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school in Gosport who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Teacher to join their team full-time as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher with a strong background in mathematics and a passion for delivering engaging, insightful lessons that help students achieve academic success.

The successful candidate will be integral in developing students' mathematical skills and understanding, fostering confidence in their abilities across Key Stages 3 and 4.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across the mathematics curriculum, catering to a wide range of student abilities.
  • Plan and implement creative and effective lessons that make mathematical concepts accessible and engaging.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear, achievable targets for improvement.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, supporting them in reaching their full potential.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum plans, share teaching strategies, and develop resources.
  • Participate in school activities, including meetings, professional development sessions, and parents' evenings.
  • Encourage a positive attitude towards mathematics and support students' engagement in extracurricular maths-related activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • In-depth knowledge of the national maths curriculum and GCSE requirements.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a focused and inclusive learning environment.
  • A passion for teaching maths, with the drive to inspire and challenge students to develop a deep understanding of the subject.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working closely with colleagues, students, and parents.
