As a Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Teach engaging and well-planned lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring all students achieve their best possible outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths department and other colleagues to develop schemes of work and teaching resources that reflect the latest curriculum changes and best teaching practices.
  • Inspire students through innovative lesson delivery, creating a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and academic curiosity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement and development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through involvement in extra-curricular activities and supporting school events.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have a proven track record of success in teaching Maths at the secondary level, or be an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to start their teaching career.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver the Maths curriculum in a creative and engaging way.
  • Have strong classroom management skills and be able to establish a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Be committed to raising standards and delivering high-quality teaching that caters to students of all abilities.
  • Show enthusiasm for professional development and continuous improvement.
