Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school in Portsmouth who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths teacher to their flourishing staffing team.

The successful candidate will have a passion for mathematics and a broad knowledge of the subject, capable of delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of abilities.

You will be joining a supportive staffing team committed to improving student attainment and fostering a love for learning.

  • Ability to prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ individual needs
  • Confidence in working with mixed-ability groups, adapting teaching styles where necessary
  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Passion for helping students reach their full potential and make measurable progress
  • A team player who collaborates with colleagues to support whole-school development

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Possess a strong understanding of the secondary school Maths curriculum
  • Be confident in planning lessons that challenge and engage students of varying abilities
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and staying up to date with current teaching methods
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
  • Be passionate about improving student attainment and contributing to the wider school community
