We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join our team from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about inspiring students and fostering a love for mathematics in a supportive and caring environment.

This school is a community-focused institution where pupils are known and valued as individuals. The school is committed to unlocking each student's potential, equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in their future endeavours.

Most pupils enjoy their time at school and build strong friendships with their peers. The school has clear rules and routines.

The curriculum is designed to prepare pupils for future qualifications, with an emphasis on personal development. Students engage in a well-structured personal, social, and health education programme, alongside opportunities for extracurricular activities and work experience.

We are looking for an inspiring and committed Mathematics Teacher who will:

  • Possess a relevant teaching qualification (QTS) and a strong understanding of the mathematics curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching strategies, adapting lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Foster a positive classroom environment, encouraging students to develop a growth mindset and a love for mathematics.
  • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for the building of strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Hold high expectations for students' learning and behaviour, actively working to reduce low-level disruptions in the classroom.
  • Employ a range of assessment strategies to check for understanding and inform future planning, ensuring that learning gaps are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Contribute to the school's personal development programmes and support students in developing vital skills for their future success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge in mathematics education.
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality mathematics lessons that inspire students and promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Use varied teaching approaches to accommodate different learning styles, ensuring all pupils can access and engage with the curriculum.
  • Assess and track students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Promote positive behaviour in the classroom, applying the school's policies consistently to maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental improvements.
  • Engage with parents and carers to foster a partnership in supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to support the wider school community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a school that values personal development, community, and collaboration. The school is committed to continuous improvement, and we welcome teachers who are passionate about making a difference in students' lives.
