Smile Education are working with a Secondary school in Stoke who are looking to recruit a MFL Teacher to start in September 2024. The school are looking for someone who will positively contribute to the school and has a passion for supporting pupils excel in Modern Foreign languages. This is an Ofsted ‘Good’ school and a fantastic opportunity for a Full time Teacher ( Part time considered).

Salary MP1 – UPS3 (£30,000 - £46,525)

About the MFL Teacher role:
· The ability to teach French and Spanish across Key Stage 3 and 4.
· Providing guidance and advice to pupils on education and on their further education and careers.
· Providing feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriate.
· Contributing to department planning
· Providing professional support to other teachers and support staff
· Attending departmental and school meetings, either during or after the school day, as requested.

What do you need for the role as a French MFL Teacher?
· A teaching qualification with QTS and experience teaching MFL across KS3 and KS4 in line with the British Curriculum
· A valid PGCE/QTS (unqualified French/Spanish speakers would also be considered if you have a minimum of 3 years MFL teaching experience in the UK)
· An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willing to pay for one through Smile Education )
· Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subjects.
· A passion for teaching and languages.
