About the Role: As an MLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with Moderate Learning Difficulties. You'll work closely with teachers and school staff to ensure that each student receives the individual attention they need to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with MLD in their daily learning activities
• Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning
• Helping manage classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Supporting students' social and emotional development
• Collaborating with the SEN team to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
• A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting students with MLD
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• An understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with MLD
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
