We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the MFL department to support the development of the curriculum and teaching experience at an Ofsted rated “GOOD” RC Secondary school in Rawtenstall, Lancashire.

Start date: Ideally 2th September 2024, however the school are willing to accommodate a later start for the right candidate (January 2025).

Contract: Full-time, temp-perm.

As a Teacher of MFL, the successful candidate will be able to teach Spanish across KS3/4 and the ability to offer at least KS3 French would be desirable. The successful candidate will work to provide outstanding learning opportunities across all year groups and instil a love of learning. Purpose of the post:

  • To plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning courses and lessons and sequences of lessons to meet student’s individual needs
  • To use a range of appropriate strategies for teaching and classroom management, and using information about prior attainment
  • To give clear and constructive verbal and written feedback in line with the whole school marking and assessment policy
  • Monitor student progress and where necessary implement teacher led intervention to ensure all students make at least expected progress
  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
