An esteemed primary school in Wembley, Brent, proudly rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced music educator to take on a middle leadership role within a supportive and dynamic school environment.

Position: Music Specialist (Middle Leadership)
Location: Wembley, Brent
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: MPS/UPS with TLR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the music curriculum across all year groups.
  • Foster a love of music and performance within the school community.
  • Organize and conduct school choirs, bands, and other musical ensembles.
  • Plan and execute school concerts, assemblies, and other musical events.
  • Support classroom teachers in integrating music into the broader curriculum.
  • Manage and maintain musical instruments and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Music.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading music programs and events.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • A proven track record of inspiring students and enhancing their musical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school's ethos and values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in a middle leadership role.
  • Proficiency in playing multiple instruments.
  • Experience with diverse musical genres and technologies.
  • Ability to innovate and bring fresh ideas to the music curriculum.
