Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Music Teacher to join our network of supply staff. This role involves delivering engaging and comprehensive music lessons to secondary school students, helping them to develop their musical skills and appreciation. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work in various schools across Liverpool and the surrounding areas on a temporary or contract basis. The position we are currently hiring for is a full time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students through dynamic teaching methods and a positive attitude.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching resources and instruments to enhance the learning experience.
  • Promote a love of music and performance among students through a range of activities and ensembles.
  • Collaborate with school staff and participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in music education.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching music at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, practice, and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
