Music Teacher Role - Secondary School in Hitchin

Are you passionate about music and education? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Hitchin this September.

This position will initially be through Teaching Personnel, offering you the chance to experience the role and the school environment. After a successful probationary period, you will have the opportunity to transfer onto a direct contract with the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music to students across all key stages, planning and delivering engaging lessons, and contributing to the school’s vibrant programme of extra-curricular music activities. This position will require working 4 x days a week teaching both KS3 and KS4 indepenently.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting
  • Passion for music and teaching
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
