We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our vibrant secondary school in Rawtenstall on a full-time basis to cover a maternity leave from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator who can inspire and engage students across all key stages in a supportive and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality Music lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing students' work in line with the school curriculum.
  • Engaging students in practical and theoretical aspects of music, nurturing their talents and fostering a love for the subject.
  • Organising and supporting musical events, extra-curricular activities, and school performances.
  • Collaborating with the music department and wider staff to enhance the school's vibrant cultural atmosphere.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Have experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to raising student achievement and progress.
  • Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Be passionate about Music and committed to enriching students’ educational experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
