Are you about to finish your teacher training in 2024?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for NQTs to fill full-time positions in Secondary schools across Newport, Torfaen, and Monmouthshire.  Every year we successfully help NQTs find their 1st teaching role!

We are particularly seeking NQTs for September 2024 positions in the following areas – Newport, Cwmbran, Caldicot, and Pontypool!

Salary: £157.66 per day (M2 scale)
Location: Newport, Torfaen and Monmouthshire
Start date: September 2024 - we also offer work starting in June/July for the last few weeks of term.

Want to start working with us as soon as possible? We also offer supply teaching for this summer term!

As well as long term positions for next academic year, we are also seeking NQTs that would like to gain experience in schools during June and July this term, with supply teaching.  Supply teaching as an NQT is a great way to get your face into new schools and build on your teaching experience!

Supply teaching with Teaching Personnel is super easy with our app, which allows you to update your availability on a day-to-day basis. We aim to be flexible around your needs & commitments.

To register as a Newly Qualified Teacher:

  • Pending or already obtained QTS status
  • Registration with the EWC
  • Enhanced DBS certificate – Teaching Personnel will cover the cost of your DBS and help you with the application!
  • 2 Professional Teaching References (PGCE placements)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
