A well-established and reputable nursery based in Birkenhead is seeking to employ a Nursery Nurse starting from January 2024. The nursery offers outstanding early years education and care to children aged 1 to 4 years. With a nurturing and inclusive setting, our goal is to lay a strong foundation for each child's growth and development.

Position Overview:
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for the children in our care. You will collaborate closely with our dedicated team to support learning, encourage social interaction, and promote the overall well-being of the children. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and passion for child development will be vital in ensuring a positive experience for both children and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's physical, social, and cognitive development.
  • Provide personalised care and attention to meet each child's individual needs.
  • Foster a warm and welcoming environment that nurtures positive relationships between children, staff, and parents.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to develop and implement curriculum plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s activities, progress, and any concerns.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years education setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A caring and patient nature, with a genuine love for working with children.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Basic first aid and safeguarding training (desirable).
