A well-established nursery in Birkenhead seeks a full-time Nursery Nurse from January 2024. The nursery provides excellent care and early years education for children aged 1 to 4, offering a nurturing and inclusive environment to support their growth and development.

Role Overview:
As a Nursery Nurse, you will help create a safe and stimulating environment for the children. Working closely with the team, you'll support their learning, social interaction, and well-being. Your enthusiasm for child development will ensure a positive experience for children and parents alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver activities that promote physical, social, and cognitive development.
  • Provide personalised care, meeting each child's individual needs.
  • Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that fosters strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Track and report on children's progress and behaviour.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate on curriculum planning and implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Caring, patient, and passionate about working with children.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic first aid and safeguarding training (desirable).
