Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the care, supervision, and development of children in a nursery or educational setting
  • Support teachers in delivering educational activities and lessons
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide one-to-one support for children with additional learning needs
  • Assist with daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and nap times

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Education:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or school environment
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training in areas such as behaviour management or speech and language development

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Working in a nursery or school setting
  • Potential for outdoor activities and physical play with children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
