Level 2 Nursery Teaching Assistant

One of our Nurseries in the Colne area are appointing a Teaching Assistant to work in their Babies provision. You will be required to support the children between 0 and 2 years old.

This role requires a dedicated individual who is proactive and will support the development of children between 0 and 2 years old.

  • Hours: Full-time and Part-time: Monday - Friday (hours may vary – you will need to be flexible between 8.30am and 5.30pm)
  • Pay: £12.90 - £13.50
  • Location:  Colne

Your Responsibilities:

-          Make a positive impact to children’s educational journey.

-          Have a nurturing personality to support the needs of the children, prioritising their wellbeing.

-          Ability to support children with additional needs.

-          Provide daily care to your key children.

-          Be calm and approachable for children, parents/carers and staff, demonstrating clear communication.

-          Promote high standards of quality within the nursery learning environment.

-          Be responsible for carrying out observations so that gaps in children’s development can be identified.

-          Support the teacher in creating a safe, fun and stimulating environment.

-          Work collaboratively with the Nursery teacher, other professionals and parents.

Your Requirements:

-          Have an excellent understanding of the EYFS framework.

-          Relevant experience working with children, in a childcare setting.

-          Have a minimum of a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification or equivalent (see examples above)

-          Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
