Position: Nursery Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: November 2024 until at least June 2025
Contract: Fixed Term, Full-Time
Location: Nursery attached to a mainsream primary school in Southport
Salary: £100-223 per day (dependent upon experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our nurturing team, covering maternity leave starting in November 2024. About the Role:

As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and stimulating environment where young children can thrive. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and creative learning activities that promote development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Your nurturing approach will help each child feel safe, valued, and confident in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons and activities that meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where children feel encouraged and supported.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping detailed records and providing feedback to parents and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the well-being of all children.
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents, providing updates and support on their child’s development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching young children.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
