Hours: Mon- Fri 8:30-3:30 (term-time only)

Pay: Min £12.90 per hour

A friendly and vibrant primary school in Cardiff are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team in a nursery class. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the Early Years Foundation Phase (ages 3-5) and be passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to provide support to the nursery class, helping to deliver high-quality education and care to the pupils.

Your role will involve:

  • Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering lesson plans
  • Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
  • Providing one-to-one support for individual children when needed
  • Creating a warm and welcoming environment that fosters a love of learning
  • Working with parents and carers to share information about their child's progress

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Phase (ages 3-5)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and children
  • A willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality education and care for young children
  • A child workforce DBS (registered on the update service)
  • Register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Provide 24 months of references
