Nursery Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate Nursery Teaching Assistant who has a minimum of 2 years experience working in a Nursery. It is essential that you have the correct qualifications in order to be successful in this role. Please see below for some examples of relevant qualifications.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Early Years Educator

Examples of Early Years Qualifications:

-          Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner.

-          BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and Development (Early Years Practitioner).

-          NCFE Diploma for the Children's Workforce (Early Years Educator).

-          Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and Development (Early Years Educator)

  • A minimum of two years experience working with Nursery aged children.
  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service.
  • Excellent understanding Safeguarding and how to promote this in Nursery.
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS Framework.

Hours: Full-time and Part-time: Monday - Friday (hours may vary)

Pay: £12.90 - £13.50

Location:  Hyndburn

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Nursery Teacher and other colleagues.
  • Lead Key Worker group sessions and make observations based on children’s learning and development.
  • Have the confidence to challenge children and support children in making progress.
  • Set up engaging activities in the continuous provision.
  • Use your initiative when interacting with children.
  • Support children’s Social, Emotional and Mental Health development.
  • Have a nurturing and calm approach.
  • Provide daily support and care to children, encouraging them to become independent.
  • Promote high standards in the learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
