We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Behavioural Specialist) to join our friendly and supportive team at a thriving primary school in Liverpool. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional who is committed to helping children with additional needs overcome their challenges and achieve success in their learning journey.

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with specific behavioural needs.
  • Implement individualised behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to develop and implement personalised education plans.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff, parents, and carers.
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic development through creative and engaging activities.
  • Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, CACHE, etc.) is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
