Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Catholic Primary School, Croxteth
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

 

We are seeking a committed and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at our Catholic Primary School in Croxteth. You will be working closely with a young boy in Year 2 who requires additional support to help him thrive in an academic environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and encouragement to a young boy with complex needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and activities.
  • Help manage behaviour in line with the school's policies and values.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects our Catholic ethos.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the child's needs are met.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with behavioural challenges.
  • Patience, resilience, and a calm, nurturing approach.
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with the child, staff, and parents.
  • Understanding of, and respect for, our Catholic values and ethos.
  • Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
