Our client is community primary school, based in Wigston with a wide and diverse pupil base. They take inclusion very seriously and as such invest a lot of time, effort and resources in to supporting pupils with additional needs. The school’s SENCo is passionate about ensuring every pupil is given the very best education and pastoral care during their time in school.
To assist the SENCo the school are keen to meet enthusiastic LSPs/Teaching Assistants to work on a one-to-one and small group basis. There are a range of needs in the school including but not exclusively: Autism, ADHD, Asperger’s, Speech and Language, Global Delay, Learning Disabilities and mental health issues.  The specific pupil in this instance requires very close support as they adjust to their new school.
They ask that applicants have practical experience of working with young people with such needs coupled with a fantastic attitude and a willingness to get stuck in and do their very best for the pupils they work with.
