Outreach HLTA – Knutsford (WA16)

A specialist SEMH provision catering in Knutsford are seeking an Outreach Higher-Level Teaching Assistant. Their pupils experience SEMH challenged and EBD, and each of them have a EHCP. Many pupils experience ASC, so experience with such needs would be highly beneficial for this role.

This role covers a 37-hour working week, term time only including INSET days. This is a long-term role with the possibility of a permanent school contract after a successful trial period. The incoming HLTA will receive a rate of £110+ per day, depending on their experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license as travel within Cheshire East and West in essential. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialised SEMH Outreach support on a case-by-case basis.
  • Becoming a member of the Outreach Team; making a significant contribution to the strategic development and direction of the Outreach pupils.
  • Working with a range of professionals including various levels of school staff, families, and wider professionals to ensure a child-centred, multi-agency support approach to Outreach delivery.
  • Completing paperwork and Outreach protocols to ensure consistency as well as ongoing evaluation.
  • Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
  • Providing advice and strategies that enable children with SEMH to access the curriculum and to ensure full participation.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
