Job Advert: Year 3 Teacher (Part-Time)
Location: Nelson, Lancashire
Part-Time: 3 Days a Week (Monday - Wednesday)
Start Date: January 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Year 3 Teacher to join our vibrant, two-form entry primary school in Nelson. This part-time role will begin in January 2025, with working days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of Year 3 pupils, fostering a love for learning and ensuring academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the parallel class teacher in the two-form entry structure to plan, assess, and share resources.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Use assessment to inform teaching, monitor progress, and provide feedback to pupils and parents.
  • Engage with the wider school community and contribute to whole-school initiatives and activities.
  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils, ensuring each child feels valued and encouraged to achieve their best.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally in Year 3.
  • A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning, with a passion for developing young minds.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Part-time role (3 days per week: Monday to Wednesday).
