Hours: 9am-1pm, Monday – Friday.

Start date: 4th November 2024. 

Pay: £12.85-£13.50.

We are excited to invite applications for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Poulton.

Position Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to a KS2 child who has past trauma. The child has high SEMH and needs supporting with learning and life experiences in school out of the classroom.

-          Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans for the child.

-          Providing one-on-one support to help the child overcome academic challenges and develop social and emotional skills.

-          Collaborating with teachers to create and adapt classroom activities to cater to diverse learning needs.

-          Promoting a safe and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported.

- Taking the child on trips outside of the school to raise their confidence with interaction with the outside world.

Qualifications and Skills:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

-          Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH requirements.

-          Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

-          Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with and inspire young learners.

-          A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to varying situations.

-          Relevant qualifications or training in education, child development, or related

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
