General Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Teaching Assistant to join our committed and supportive team, in the Swansea and surrounding areas. If you can work anythiing betweem 1-4 days per week, then this role may just be for you. 

What will the role involve?

  • Supervise and provide particular support on a 1:1 basis and deliver group activities from the teacher planning.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a valid driving licence with access to own vehicle (Essential).
  • Be registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Have experience of working with children or young people
  • Be friendly, enthusiastic and reliable.
