Position: Pastoral Support worker

Location: Northampton

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join a vibrant school community. In this role, you will provide essential emotional, social, and behavioural support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-to-one and group support to students, addressing their emotional and mental well-being.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive pastoral care.
  • Help foster a safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor student progress and implement intervention strategies when necessary.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and build trusting relationships with students.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A compassionate individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a school setting or with young people (preferred but not essential).
  • A team player with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Able to engage and motivate students from various backgrounds.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
