Position: Pastoral Teaching Assistant
Location: Rawtenstall, Lancashire
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
About Us: Secondary SEN Provision

The Role:
As a Pastoral Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them to engage fully in their learning.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
  • Offering emotional and behavioural support, helping students to manage their challenges and build confidence.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
  • Creating a safe and positive environment where students feel valued and supported.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a pastoral or supportive role.
  • A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the wellbeing and development of each student.
  • Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake further training.
